Year End Wrap-Up: What 2025 Taught Me as an Author

A Personal Reflection on Growth, Chaos, and Choosing Hope

2025 was… a year.

A beautiful one, a difficult one, and one that pushed me in ways I didn’t expect. I wrote through grief, celebrated milestones, launched new books, juggled motherhood and homeschooling, and built deeper connections with this incredible community.

Here are a few highlights and lessons:

✨ I learned to take breaks without guilt

November was rough. Creativity stalled. Resting changed everything.

I learned that I can do this, I have to keep going.

I got my books into B&N this year. I just have to trust myself and keep going. Don’t give up, even when things get a bit tough.

✨ I released Say You Will, Beacon in the Darkness, and When Hope Began

Three stories of courage, love, and hope that found their way to the right readers.

✨ I returned to Twitch + rebuilt my creative systems

The writing sprints, the chaos, the late-night coffee… all of it helped reset my spark.

✨ Community matters more than algorithms

From Discord to Ko-Fi to Instagram, your messages and support kept me going.

As we head into 2026, my words of the year are “Me…and steadfast.”

Getting back to the me I want to be.

Steadfast in writing.

Steadfast in hope.

Steadfast in community.
